Grand River Transit EasyGo service resumes, phone service still down

After a lengthy outage, Grand River Transit's EasyGo services are almost fully operational again, with just the Next Bus Call tool remaining out of order.
After more than a week of downtime, Grand River Transit's EasyGo services, including its app, are back up and running - except for its Next Bus Call feature.

The outage, which began in April, had affected GRT'sEasyGO trip planner, Next Bus Text and Next Bus Callservice, its app, its real-time maps, and on-street and terminal signs.

By May 6, all but the Next Bus Text and Next Bus Phone services were restored, and by May 9 the Next Bus Text servicewas brought back online.

The transit provider said it continues to try and resolve problems with its Next Bus Call featureand hoped to have those issues resolved shortly.

Grand River Transit's EasyGo service crashed after an attempt to update the scheduling software to the new spring routes caused a system-wide malfunction on April 25.
