EasyGO fare card payment issues resolved, GRT says
People had to load their EasyGO fare cards in person or using Interac online
Grand River Transit says it has resolved issues with payments for itsEasyGO fare card, after a problem with their system forced people to wait in long linesat the Charles Street bus terminal.
On Monday, Grand River Transit (GRT) said the EasyGO fare card websitewasunable to process credit card payments.
People had toload their cards in person atthe Charles and Ainslie Street terminals or useInterac online.
That may have contributed tolong lines to form at the terminals on Monday afternoon.
Peter Zinck, director of transit services for GRT, said staff worked with GRTservice providers to resolve the issue and conducted a number ofsuccessful test transactions and public transactions.
