Guelph city bus in collision with pickup truck

A pickup truck driver was taken to hospital by air ambulance on Sunday after a collision between the truck and a Guelph city bus.

A pickup truck driver was taken to hospital by air ambulance on Sunday after a collision with a Guelph city bus.

According to Guelph police, the collision happened at FarquarStreet and Wyndham Street around 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.

The truck driver had to be extricated from the vehicle, and was taken to Hamilton General Hospital. while the bus driver received minor injuries.

Police say there was just one passenger on the bus, and that person was notinjured.

Police closed Wyndham Street until 5:00 p.m. to investigate the crash. Damage is estimated at between $70-80,000.
