Kitchener closes King Street for Oktoberfest, Hometown Hockey

A stretch of King Street between Water Street and Frederick Street in downtown Kitchener will be closed for the next few days while the city celebrates Hometown Hockey and Oktoberfest.

A stretch of King Street in downtown Kitchener will be closed for the next few days while the city celebrates Hometown Hockey and Oktoberfest.

The city closed the street between Water Street and Frederick Street on Tuesday and says it will remain closed until Monday, Oct. 8.

Most intersections through the area are also closed, with the exception of the Queen Street intersection. The city says Queen Street remains open and accessible.
