Kitchener's consumption treatment site set to open Oct. 15

Kitchener's interim consumption and treatment services site is set to open Oct.15

The site will be located at 150 Duke St. in downtown Kitchener.

Health workers with Sanguen Health Centre and the Region of Waterloo Public Health have been working together to implement the interim service model.

Staff, alongwith the Waterloo Regional Police Service, held anopen houseat theChurch of St. John the Evangelist in Kitchener Monday and Tuesday.

The permanent consumption and treatment services siteis scheduled to begin operating in February 2020.
