Kitchener man nabbed carrying thousands in fentanyl, police say
Arrest Thursday led to two search warrants at two Kitchener homes
Thousands of dollars worth of drugs including fentanyl wereseized after a Kitchener man was arrested late last week, police say.

The 34-year-old man was arrested on Stirling Avenue South in Kitchener. Waterloo Regional Police said officers discovered the man had a loaded handgun on him as well asa large amount of Canadian currency and more than $15,000 worth of fentanyl and methamphetamine.
As part of the investigation, two search warrants were executed on Courtland Avenue East and Fairview Avenue.
There, about $47,000 worth of fentanyl, meth, marijuana and psilocybin (mushrooms) were seized, police said. Additional weapons were also discoveredby officers.
The investigation is ongoing and police said further arrests are anticipated.
