Stolen: donations meant for child with cancer

Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole a donation container from a Cambridge bakery. The container was used to collect money for a family whose child has leukemia.

Waterloo Region Police are searching for a man they allegestole a donation container that was being used to raisemoney for a family whose child has leukemia.

The man entered Azores Bakery at 244 Elgin St. N., in Cambridge just after 2 p.m. on Jan. 31, police said on the force's website Thursday.

The man bought something with cash, then removed the donation container from the counter and placed it in the left side of his jacket. He left the store around 2:11 p.m.

The suspect is described as a white man, 20-30 years old, with dark hair. He was wearing dark clothing and a striped shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
