Kitchener man in critical condition after motorcycle crash

Police are investigating a collision between a car and a motorcycle Thursday evening on Victoria Street North in Kitchener.

The motorcycle driver was thrown over the car and landed in the Victoria, Ebycrest intersection

A 31-year-old Kitchener man is in critical condition after the motorcycle he was driving collidedwith a car on Victoria Street North Thursday evening.

The man was on a green Kawasaki ZX6 and was southbound in the right lane of Victoria Street North when a Buick turned in front of his motorcycle.

The motorcycle struck the right front fender of the car and the man was thrown over the car, landing on the southwest corner of the intersection at Victoria Street and Ebycrest Road.

The motorcyclist was transported to Grand River Hospital, then transferred to Hamilton General Hospital in critical condition.

The 66-year-old Kitchener man driving the Buick and his occupants were uninjured.

Police said the investigation continues and charges are pending.
