Train service resumes after person hit by train at Kitchener GO station

A person has been struck by a train at the Kitchener GO station, GO Transit reported on its website Wednesday morning. GO Transit said in the afternoon it can use one track and train service will resume.

A person has been hit by a train at the Kitchener GO station.

GO Transit says on its website that emergency personnel are on scene. All trains werestopped for just over two hours, between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. while an investigation was completed.

GO Transit reported Wednesday afternoon emergency personnel "have given us permission to run GO trains. We have one track available."

Police confirmed a person had been hit but could not release any other details.
