Where to go in Waterloo region to get a COVID-19 test at a pharmacy

Three pharmacies in Waterloo region started accepting appointments on Tuesday for COVID-19 testing of asymptomatic people who require a test for more than just reassurance that they don't have the virus.

There are three pharmacies in Waterloo region now taking appointments for COVID-19 tests.

The Shoppers Drug Marts currently involvedare:

  • 235 Ira Needles inKitchener.
  • Conestoga Mall, 550 King St. N. in Waterloo.
  • 1500 King St. E. inCambridge.

People in Stratford can also get tested at the Shoppers located at 511 Huron St. There is currently no pharmacy testing in Guelph.

The tests is for people who don't have symptoms, but still require the test for a number of reasons, including visiting family at long-term care homes. The tests arenot meant for people who wantreassurance they don't have the virus.
