The rain held off and warm weather prevailed for this year's Kitchener-WaterlooOktoberfestThanksgiving Day parade.

This year'sparade took place alongWeber Street, starting from Frederick Street in Kitchenerand ending in Bridgeport Road in Waterloo.

The winning parade float this year is the Horn of Plenty, which was sponsored by Sobeys. The Schneiders Float won the People's Choice Float along with the Hans & Frieda Award for use of animation.

K-W Oktoberfest is marking its 49th year in 2017, but the Concordia Club in Kitchener is celebrating 50 years of Oktoberfest. For their portion of the parade, several former Miss Concordia winners returned to walk along the route. (Kate Bueckert/CBC)
