Six Nations of the Grand River has reconstructed a 17th century Iroquoian longhouse. The project is part of Kayanase, an ecological restoration and tourism initiative.

Six Nations of the Grand River has reconstructed a 17th century Iroquoian longhouse.

It's part ofKayanase,an ecological restoration and tourism initiative inSix Nations.

The idea is to have a space that accurately represents Haudenosaunee culture while also providing economic and social benefits to the community.

Kerdo Deer is the ecotourism coordinator at Kayanaseand spoke to CBC Kitchener-Waterloo'sPaula Duhatschekabout the work that's been done.
