CBC KW's Sounds of the Season 2016

It's that time of the year when we here at CBC K-W start gearing up for Sounds of the Season.

The annual event collects food and raises funds for The Food Bank of Waterloo Region.

OnFriday, Dec. 2, the team and I will present our fourthspecial live broadcast ofThe Morning EditionfromTheMuseumat 10 King St. W., inKitchener.

There will be special guests,including our columnists Andrew Coppolino and Tenille Bonoguore, local leaders and musicians. Keep an eye on our website for more details on who will be performing at the show.

We'll have gift baskets filled with surprisesfrom businesses in our area, including gift certificates, tickets to movies, concerts and shows and other goodies.

How you can be there

There is limited seating. To reserve your free seat, email us at yournewskw@cbc.ca or call our TalkBack line at 519-581-0636. Please leave your name, phone number and the number of tickets you require.

The seats go quickly, butyou can always listen at home, either by turning the dial on your radio to 89.1 FM or listening online either our website or through the CBC Radio app.

Even if you're unable to join us, please still consider donating to The Food Bank of Waterloo Region as the holiday season approaches.The food bank then distributes food and supplies to a network of organizations across the region to help those in need.

One in 20 households in Waterloo region don't have enough to eat and just $1 can provide food for three meals thanks to The Food Bank of Waterloo Region's strong partnerships with the food industry and the community. The food bank says 36 per cent of those receiving helpare children.

In the coming days, we'll have more information about where you can donatefunds. Non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the CBC KW offices at 117 King St. W., in downtown Kitchener.
