North Dumfries, Guelph see big growth in population, stats show

New data released from Statistics Canada shows the biggest jump in local population numbers in North Dumfries and Guelph. Kitchener and Waterloo also saw significant increases in the past five years.

New numbers released by Statistics Canada show population numbers in Waterloo region and the surrounding areas are on the rise.

In particular, North Dumfries and Guelph saw significant jumps, of 9.4 per cent and 8.3 per cent respectively, while Wilmot township had a 6.9 per cent increase, Kitchenersaw an increase of 6.4 per cent andWaterloo had a 6.3 per cent increase.
