Election panel: Waterloo candidates talk mental health for students, transit concerns

Mental health supports for university students, transitand social housing were the top issues discussed by three candidates for the riding of Waterloo during a provincial election panel onThe Morning Editionon Tuesday.

The panel includedProgressive Conservative candidate Dan Weber, Liberal candidate Dorothy McCabe and NDPcandidate Catherine Fife.

As of Monday at noon, Elections Ontario lists five candidates for the riding. Also running in Waterloo are Green Party of Ontario candidate ZdravkoGunjevic and Libertarian Andrew Allison.The deadline for candidate nominations is May 17 at 2 p.m.

All week at 8:10 a.m.,The Morning Editionfeatures an interview panel with three local candidates from K-W ridings:

  • Wednesday: Kitchener-Conestoga.
  • Thursday: Kitchener South-Hespeler.
  • Friday: Cambridge.
