Zero COVID-19 cases reported in Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph for first time since October

For the first time since October 2020, Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health has reported no new cases of COVID-19.

The health unit's spokesperson Danny WIlliamson said the exact date zero cases was last reported was Oct. 4.

There were 45 active cases listed on the health unit's website Tuesday. As well, there were three active outbreaks: Two in workplaces and one in an accommodation services setting.

In terms of vaccinations, public health reports 80 per cent of adults 18 and older have their first dose while 55.9 per cent have both doses.
