1 dead in south London collision Wednesday evening

London police are investigating after a person was killed in a motor vehicle accident on Commissioners Road, east of Highbury Avenue Wednesday night.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene

London police are investigating after a person was killed in a motor vehicle accident in the city's south end on Wednesday evening.

Emergency crews were called to a serious motor vehicle collision in the area of Commissioners Road East and Jackson Road, east of Highbury Avenue, at about 6:45 p.m.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and no one else was injured.

Police said they're not releasing the driver's name until they've contacted their family.

Commissioners Road East was closed between Chelton and Hamilton roads for the investigation but has since been re-opened.
