Cyclist killed in late night crash in East London

One person is dead following a collision between a bicycle and a motor vehicle near Hamilton Road and Highbury Avenue Thursday night.

The collision occurred at Hamilton Road and East Street at around 10:30 p.m. Thursday

One person is dead following a collision between a bicycle and a motor vehicle in east London Thursday night.

Police say the crash happened just before 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Hamilton Road and East Street, just west of Highbury Avenue.

Middlesex-London EMS sayparamedics rushed a 24-year-old male cyclist tohospital with life-threatening injuries. Police saidhe waslater pronounced dead.

The name of the victim has not yet been released, and there is no word on whether charges are pending.

The Traffic Management Unit is investigating.
