Two dead after head-on collision in Southwest Middlesex

Two people are dead following a head-on collision on Longwoods Road in Southwest Middlesex.

Police said the collision happened on Saturday at about 6:15 p.m. and involved two vehicles that were travelling in opposite directions.

Police said a 48-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, who were in the same vehicle, died. Their identities have been withheld pending notification of family.

Four others have been transported to hospital with injuries ranging from minor to serious.

Police had closed off a stretch of the roadbetween Hagerty and Dogwood Roads.
