Another inmate has died in London's embattled Elgin-Middlesex Detention Centre.

Paramedics and police officers responded to the Exeter Road jail at around 8 a.m. Sunday, where they found a body of an inmate.

The death isn't considered suspicious, police said.

More details are expected to be released following an autopsy.

There have been at least a dozen deaths at the jail in south London since 2009.

The last happened on Boxing Day, when a 29-year-old man died in his cell.

EMDC is considered one of the most notorious jails in Ontario. It's come under fire for overcrowding, understaffing, and lack of proper health care for inmates.
