Police bust 3 London pot shops, lay charges

Provincial and local authorities busted three illegal pot shops in London on Wednesday.

Provincial and local authorities busted three illegal pot shops in London on Wednesday.

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police and London Police Service executed search warrants at the storefronts along Dundas Street, Hamilton Road and Wortley Road.

As a result of the raid along Dundas Street, police charged a 22-year-old London man and a 40 year-old Londoner with possession for the purpose of selling.

As a result of an investigation along Wortley Road, police charged a 63-year-old London woman and a 64-year-old London man with possession for the purpose of selling

Police said several suspects remain at large in relation to the investigation at the Hamilton road storefront.

Police seized property at all three locations.

The OPP is working alongside police services across Ontario to "dismantle organized crime groups, eliminate the illegal cannabis supply, remove illegal cannabis enterprises such as store fronts and online, and target the proceeds of crime and assets," police said in a releaseon Thursday.
