St. Thomas police locate missing 6-year-old girl

Police are asking the public to keep their eyes peeled for a six-year-old St. Thomas girl who police say went missing early Wednesday afternoon.

The girl went missing Wednesday near Bill Martyn Parkway and Southdale Lane

Officials with St. Thomas Police Service (STPS) say they have located a six-year-old girl who went missing early Wednesday afternoon.

The girl went missing around 12:15 p.m. near Bill Martyn Parkway and Southdale Lane in south St. Thomas, near the Doug Tarry Sports Complex.

In a brief media statement issued shortly before 2 p.m., police said the girl had been located and was safe.

"The STPS would like to thank our community and media partners for their assistance," police said.
