Stabbing at Oakridge Secondary leaves youth with serious injuries

A young man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries after a stabbing on Thursday at Oakridge Secondary School.

Emergency crews were called to the school at 9:15 a.m. Thursday

The Thames Valley board said all staff, parents and guardians of the Oakridge Secondary School community were immediately notified of the new cases.
Police say they arrived at the school to find a young man had been stabbed. He was taken to hospital with injuries that are serious but not life-threatening. (Twitter)

A young man was taken to hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries after a stabbing on Thursday morning at Oakridge Secondary School in northwest London.

Emergency crews were called to the school at 9:15 a.m. andfound a young manwith stab wounds. He was taken to hospital by paramedics.

Police say the incident happened inside the school and that the suspect is another male. Police did not release any information about charges and say the investigation is ongoing.

The Thames Valley District School Board said Friday that support for students and staff will be made available, and that school officials are working with police.

This is the second school stabbing in London in less than seven days. Last week, a student was allegedly stabbed at a football game at A.B. Lucas Secondary School.

A 16-year-old suffered minor injuries and has been released from hospital. At the time, police said they were investigating but have not yet provided an update.
