One driver dead after crash with truck in Oxford County

Oxford County OPP say one person is dead after a crash east of London, Ont., Sunday evening.

Road 68 was closed for several hours but has since reopened

Oxford County OPP say one person is dead after a crash that happened east of London, Ont. Sunday evening.

According to a post on X, provincial police were called to Road 68 (Highway 2) in Thamesford just before 8 p.m., where a flatbed truck hadcollided with a sedan. The driver of the sedan, a 24-year-old Oxford County resident,was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the truck remained on the scene, reporting minor injuries.

Road 68 was closed between 29th and 31st Lines for several hours but has since reopened.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
