A house fire in Winnipeg's north end has put a family of11 out of their home.

The blaze on Flora Avenue broke out around 12:15 p.m. CT Saturday.

Everyone in the home was able to get out safely, but the building was almost destroyed by the fire.

Jonathan Williams, 39, told CBC News he was thankful everyone was able to get out. However, the single parent said he's concerned about where his family will stay.

"I'm a little bit confused," Williams said. "I really don't know what I'm supposed to be doing.I know everything'sOK with the kids, that is good. This stuff can be replaced but I just want to see what's left."

Fire officials said the building may be a total loss and that only a few pieces of furniture were saved.

There was no word on how the fire started.
