Aaron Driver, Winnipeg ISIS supporter, back in police custody

Winnipeg-based ISIS supporterAaron Driver is back in police custody.

The 23-year-old was picked up by Winnipeg Police Service members Friday around 5 p.m. CT at a home on Carlotta Crescent in the Charleswood neighbourhood,Manitoba's chief federal prosecutorIanMahon confirmed Friday night.

"I believe that Mr. Driver has been taken into custody as his surety withdrew," he said.

Mahon was referring to ahomeowner onCarlotta Crescentwho posted a $1,500 surety and agreed to give Driver a place to stayas part ofhis bail conditions. She withdrew her support Friday, meaningDriver failed to meet his bail conditions, RCMP said.

Driverwas initiallyarrested and his rental home was raidedearlier this month.Investigatorsinvoked a section of the Criminal Code and obtained a peace bond to limit Driver's activities.

"Police may pursue the order [a recognizance]with conditions such as to keep the peace and be of good behaviour if they have reasonable grounds to believe that a person may commit a terrorism offence," the RCMPsaidin a statement earlier in June.

Driver was eventually released on bail, but with 25 conditions.

According to a recognizance document obtained by CBC News earlier this month, Driver was ordered to:

• Wear an electronic monitoring device around the clock.
• Take part in "religiouscounselling" and forwardthe counsellor's name to RCMP.
• Follow an overnight curfew (from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily) and stayathis home in Winnipeg'sCharleswoodneighbourhood. The home was raided earlier this month.
• Surrenderany passports he has and not apply for any passport from Canada or any other country.
• Not possess any desktop, laptop or tablet computer.Any cellphone he has must be approved by RCMP, and the phone number must be submitted to police.
• Provide passwords and access to his cellphoneat the RCMP's request, with "such requests not to exceed two times per month."
• Stay away from social media websites, including Facebook, Twitter, Kik, Surespot andTelegram encrypted chat.
• Have"no contact or communication directly or indirectly with any member of ISIS,ISIL, Islamic Stateof Iraq and Syria and AlQaidain Iraq." He must also not possess anything bearing the logos or names of any of those groups.

CSIS,Canada's spy agency, has been trackingDriver's pro-ISIS activity on Twitter, where he usesthe name Harun Abdurahman.

Driver has yet to be charged for anything.

RCMP saidDriver will be back in court Monday at 9:30 a.m. CTin Winnipeg.
