The three bears showed little fear of people, the government spokesperson said, andwere becoming a greater threat to campers.

The bears had already been captured and relocated once before, he added.

On Thursday, before the animals were euthanized, the bears were seenrifling through coolers with people present.

The Grand Beach campground was thentemporarily evacuated and the animals were killed.

According to the Manitoba Natural Resource Officers' Association Grand Beach is "black bear central."
