I would like to nominate Alysa Raposo for this award. She is 21 years old.She has come a long way in the past four years. She struggled with anxiety/depression following high school and has learned to cope and has taken her own experiences to become a "voice" on mental health within the community, as well as at University of Manitoba where she is a fourth-year Women and Gender Studies major.

She is an active mental health spokesperson and will be speaking at an upcoming March for Mental Health on May 7, as well as an executive member of Jack.org at the University of Manitoba. She has recently taken the initiative to form a clothing drive for a women's shelter that was in need.

She continues to be an active feminist and is an advocate for many programs such as MADD, Jack.org, and mental health awareness.

She constantly surprises us with her upbeat, I can get through anything attitude. I have no doubt that she will make a difference in her community one day!
