Arrest made in stabbing at Winnipeg hotel

A 46-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday for allegedly stabbing another woman at a downtown Winnipeg hotel.

A 46-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday and accused of stabbing another woman at a downtown Winnipeg hotel.

According to police, the 26-year-old victim was approached by the woman at the Woodbine Hotel on Main Street just after 3 p.m. Afight broke out and the victim was stabbed in the upper body.

She was taken to hospital in critical condition but upgraded to stable condition early Wednesday, police said.

Cecilia Roulette, 46, of Winnipeg, has been charged with aggravated assault, carrying a concealed weapon and breaching her probation.

She is being held in custody.
