Winnipeg police investigate assault near Seven Oaks hospital

Winnipeg police are investigating after an assault in the area just north of Seven Oaks hospital early Sunday morning.

A person was taken to hospital, no word on injuries

Winnipeg police are investigating after an assault in the area just north of Seven Oaks hospital early Sunday morning.

Police were called to Court Avenue around 3:40 a.m.

A person was taken to hospital, police said, but there was no word on injuries.

Court Avenue, between McPhillips Street and Pipeline Road, was closed during the investigation.

Police cars, as well as a large police van, were still on scene at the end of a driveway on the unpaved road Sunday evening around 5:30 p.m.
