Woman, 19, dies in ATV rollover in southwestern Manitoba

A woman died after being thrown from an ATVwhen it rolled over in southwestern Manitoba early Sunday, and a man from Saskatchewan has been charged with impaired driving causing death, RCMP say.

A woman died after being thrown from an ATVwhen it rolled over in southwestern Manitoba early Sunday, and a man from Saskatchewan has been charged with impaired driving causing death, RCMP say.

Shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday, RCMP receiveda report of an off-road vehicle collision in the Kilman Cottage area in the rural municipality of Riding Mountain West, police said in a Tuesday news release.

A 19-year-old man from Langenburg, Sask., was driving aside-by-side carrying three people when he lost control.

A 19-year-old woman from Killaly, Sask., was ejected and pronounced dead at the site of the rollover, police say. The driver and another 19-year-old man, from Churchbridge, Sask., were not hurt.

RCMP do not believeany of the people on the ATV were wearing seatbelts or helmets at the time of the rollover.
