Blue Bombers assess Investors Group Field's test run
The first event to be held at Investors Group Field, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers' new home, is helping the team prepare for the upcoming CFL season.
Bombers brass watched as about 15,000 people crowded into Investors Group Field on Sunday for One Heart, a major church service and the first event to be held at the new stadium.
"We're hoping to learn how our traffic flows work, how our traffic patterns work, how the getting people in and out of the stadium before the game and after the game," said Bombers president Garth Buchko.
Team officials met on Monday to discuss how things went, and what changes may be needed before the Bombers play their first pre-season game on June 12.
