Winnipeg Blue Bombers host Montreal Alouettes to open 2016 CFL season
Season opener will be June 24 at Investors Group Field
TheWinnipeg Blue Bombers will kick off the 2016 CFL regular season on home turf, hosting theMontreal Alouettes.
The team released its 2016 schedule on Thursday. The full schedule, including pre-season games, can be seen here.
The season opener against the Alouetteswill beonJune 24at 7:30 p.m. CT at Investors Group Field.
It will be the fans' first chance to see a revamped roster that includes new additions such asreceivers Weston Dressler andRyan Smith, kicker Justin Medlock, D-lineman Keith Shologanandrunning back Andrew Harris.

The team will then head out for two games on the road before returning for a mid-July matchup with the Grey Cup Champion Edmonton Eskimos.
In all, the Bombers will have one regular season home gameon a Wednesday, two on Thursdays, three Friday games, and four Saturday games.
The popularBanjo Bowl game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders will be one of thoseSaturday tilts, taking placeSept.10at 3p.m.
Fan Appreciation Day will be on Sunday, Sept.11. More details about the event will be releasedin the upcoming months, the team said.
The Bombers also announced the release ofrunning back Paris Cotton and defensive end Greg Peach.
