Boater comes forward in tubing hit-and-run at Nutimik Lake

A boater believed to be involved in a hit-and-run that injured a woman tubing at Nutimik Lake on Saturday night has come forward to police, RCMP say.

A boater believed to be involved in a hit-and-run that injured a woman tubing at Nutimik Lake on Saturday night has come forward to police, RCMP say.

A 24-year-old woman is in stable condition in hospital after she was hit by a boat that didn't stop in Manitoba's Whiteshell area.

The woman was tubing on Saturday night around 6 p.m. when she fell off and was struck by another boat, RCMP said.

STARS air ambulance was called because the woman was seriously injured, police said.She is now reported in stable condition.

Police had asked the public to help them find the driver of the boat that hit the woman.

No charges have been laid.

The investigation continues.
