People dressed as all kinds of creatures and characters invaded the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg, beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday. The celebration of sci-fi and comics goes all weekend, wrapping up at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
"I just love the atmosphere," said Doug Gauthier, who described his costume as "evil," and "the male version of Maleficent."

Travis Cool or zombie Santa was at a friend's booth, where for $5, guests can have their picture taken with Cool and printed on a Christmas card to send out around the holidays. Cool himself comes for anything and everything Star Wars.

"Star Wars. I love Star Wars. Like, I have a massive Star Wars tattoo," Cool said, smiling. "I just love buying the toys. I'm sort of a sucker for it."

One of the highlights of this year's Comic Con is the appearance of several actors from The Hobbit.The experience won't come cheap for fans, though. A picture and an autograph costs over $180.
