CBC News has learned residence belongs to dog rescue group director
Manitoba's chief veterinary office removed a dead puppy and rescued several more adult dogs from a home in Winnipeg'sValley Gardens area Tuesday, as itcontinues to investigate reports of fiveother puppies being found dead.
The residence belongs to a director of another Winnipeg dog rescue group and the dogs were in the care of this group, according to the dog rescue director CBC News spoke with.
Several members of the dog rescue community submitted photos of the dogs inside the home to CBC.

The humane society would not comment further as all cases of animal welfare are handled by the PVO, but the executive director says one of the dogs is in their care as itneeded medical attention.
