Doug Eyolfson, Liberal

Eyolfson,52, enjoys driving his Triumph motorcycle, but you'll find him behind the wheel of his Mini Cooper more often.

The Charleswood-St. James-Assiniboia-Headingley Liberal candidate, who is a physician specializing in emergency medicine,was born in Winnipeg and grew up a huge fan of the city's NHL Jets. He was in a fan club for kids the first year the Jets existed andhad a book containing autographs of the entire team.

Eyolfson'sfavourite music is from the1960sand '70s, and he most often listens to theDoobieBrothers. His favourite performer from Manitoba is RandyBachman.

The last time Eyolfsonmade a trip out of theprovincewas in June, when he travelledto Ottawa for candidacy training.


Kevin Nichols, Green Party

He's afan of blue and goldbut Nichols isgoing green for the upcoming federal election.

The 54-year-old Winnipeg Blue Bombers fan was born in Winnipeg and has lived in theCharleswood-St. James-Assiniboia-Headingley riding allhis life; nowhe andhis wife are raising their three children in Charleswood.

Asafety technician with the City of Winnipeg, Nichols likes driving his 1987 Corvette and listening toNickelback, especially the songNever Again.He's a rock music lover and his favourite performer from Manitoba is TomCochrane, who was born in Lynn Lake.

The last time Nichols travelled out of his home province he visited his aunt in Sheboygan, Wis.,near Green Bay.


Steven Fletcher, Conservative

He did not participate in theCBC-RedRiver College project.

Fletcher, 43,has represented the Charleswood-St.James-Assiniboia-Headingleyriding since2004. Hewasre-elected in 2006, 2008 and 2011 with increasing margins.

He was appointed to cabinet in2008as minister of state (democratic reform) and following the 2011 election, he was appointed minister of state (transport).Fletcher was left out of cabinet in the July 15, 2013, shuffle by Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

According to his website, Fletcherwas born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,and nowlives in Headingley, Man.Prior to his election, heworked as an engineer in the mining industry until an automobile collision with a moose left him a quadriplegic, paralyzed from the neck down.


Tom Paulley, NDP

Born 63years ago in the old Grace Hospital in Wolseley, Paulleynowlives in the Buchananneighbourhood north of Portage Avenue, just inside the Perimeter Highway, with his wifeand their two dogs.

A retired correctional officer,previously working atHeadingleyCorrectional Centre, Paulleyhas two stepchildren.

He drives a 2010 Honda Accord and the last time he travelled outof Manitoba, it was for a family winter vacation in Jamaica.

Paulley doesn't own an iPod but when he does turn on thetunes, he often listens to Leonard Cohen. His favourite Manitoba musician is children's performer Al Simmons.

Paulley is a fan ofboth the Winnipeg Jets and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, but thinks the Jets arecurrently looking more promising than the Bombers.
