Extreme cold warnings lifted in Manitoba, but wind chill still in 30s

Extreme cold warnings first issued Saturday have been lifted in southern Manitoba.

Southern parts of province to see highs in 16 C range, Environment Canada says

On Sunday, Environment Canada extended extreme cold warnings for most of the southern half of the province, only to lift those warnings at about 10:15 a.m. CT. (The Associated Press)

Extreme cold warnings first issued Saturdayhave been lifted in southern Manitoba.

On Sunday morning, Environment Canada extended the warnings from the U.S.-Canada border northwest to Swan River, and from the Saskatchewanto Ontario borders.

The federal agency cancelled the warnings just before 10:30 a.m. CT.

Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 16C (34 with wind chill)in Winnipeg and throughout the south.
