Family distributing purple ribbons for missing woman Thelma Krull

Family and friends of missing woman Thelma Krull are asking everyone to wear purple ribbons to show efforts to bring Krull home are still underway.

Krull went missing on July 11 after going for a walk near Chief Peguis Trail and never returning.

Lisa Besser, Krull's daughter, said the ribbons acknowledge you're affected by her disappearance and that she won't be forgotten.

"We've been going through every single emotion that there is: sad, depressed, angry, confused, lost," she said. "We are banding together. We are keeping in constant contact with each other and keeping each other strong."

Winnipeg police have searched retention ponds and put out appeals for information in the woman's disappearance. The homicide unit has taken over the investigation, but so far, there's been no sign of Krull.

"We want everyone to keep looking, keep thinking about my mom, keep having those positive thoughts and prayers until she is home," she said.

The purple ribbons are available where Besser works at Dynasty Bath and Kitchen Centre on Logan Avenue.
