Woman killed, man injured after truck rolls in central Manitoba

A 51-year-old woman is dead after being thrown from a pickup truck that rolled near Bloodvein in east-central Manitoba on Sunday.

A 51-year-old woman is dead after she was thrown from apickup truck that rolled near Bloodvein in east-central Manitoba on Sunday.

The woman, who was driving the truck, was pronounced dead at the scene, anda 50-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Another passenger, a 48-year-oldman,did not suffer any injuries.

All three were fromBloodvein, about215 kilometres north of Winnipeg, on the east side of Lake Winnipeg.

RCMP said they received a call about the crash, five kilometres south of theBloodveinRiver bridge, at 8:15 a.m., but the rollover had happened severalhours earlier.

Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor, RCMPsaid.
