Highway 75, the main link between Winnipeg and the U.S. border has been closed at the town of Morris due to flooding.

Detours have been put in place and alternate routes signed and marked, according to a Manitoba government news release.

Truckers are advised that double trailers on semi-trucks will not be allowed access to Highway 3 while the detour is in place.

The detours can beviewed on this map provided by the province.

During the flood in 2009, Highway 75 was closed for 35 days.

Closing the highwaycosts trucking companies thousands of extra dollars due to the extended detours and travel time.

The detours also stung the economy in Morris, whichexperienced a drastic drop in business.
