Winnipeg Folk Festival releases lineup for 2016 event

Ryan Adams, AlanDoyle and the Beautiful Gypsies,Lord Huron, Milky Chanceand Sam Roberts Band are among theacts performing at the 2016 Winnipeg Folk Festival.

The lineup was released Thursday and features a slate of internationaland localartists who will meet at Birds Hill Provincial Park, July 7-10, for the 43rd edition of the summer music festival.

The annualevent, whichbeganin 1974 to markWinnipeg's centennial,has grown into one of the continent's premier folk music events, with tens of thousands of people attending.
