Funnel cloud spotted northwest of Winnipeg

Some Manitobans spotted a funnel cloud northwest of Winnipeg in the Warren area on Wednesday evening.

Those who posted photographs of the cloud said they saw itshortly after 8 p.m. CT.

The sighting cameabout 1 hours after a severe thunderstorm warning ended forWinnipeg.That warning was downgraded to a thunderstorm watch by 6:30 p.m.

Environment Canada did not issue a warning for this apparent funnel cloud.

Funnel clouds were alsospotted in the skies about three kilometres east of Manitou, Man., late Wednesday afternoon. People in the area reported seeing at least one of them touching down.
