RCMP looking for Good Samaritan who drove severely injured man to hospital

Shortly after4a.m. Thursday, an injured man was dropped off at theThompson General Hospital by a stranger who then drove off in a pickup truck. Now, RCMP are hoping the public can help identify the stranger.

Shortly after4a.m. Thursday, an injured man was dropped off at theThompson General Hospital by a stranger who then drove off in a pickup truck.

Now, RCMP are hoping the public can help identify the stranger, who they are calling a Good Samaritan.

The man he brought in was severely injured in an assault, RCMP said in a news release. They believe the stranger came across the victim and got him to the hospital fortreatment.

The injured man remains in serious condition in hospital.

Video surveillance caught images of the stranger outside the hospital. He appears to have a thin buildand was wearing a black jacket and a grey baseball hat with a black peak, the RCMP news release states.

He was driving a white GMC pickup truck with a box cover on it.

Anyone who can help identify the Good Samaritan is asked to callThompson RCMP at204-677-6911.
