17-year-old dead after rollover in Headingley

A 17-year-old girl is dead after her car hit the ditch and rolled over in Headingley this morning.

RCMP say the driver wasn't wearing a seat belt and do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash

A 17-year-old girl died Saturday morning after a rollover in Headingley, Man.

A 17-year-old girl is dead after her car hit the ditch and rolled over in Headingley this morning.

Manitoba RCMP say the driverwas travelling on the Trans-Canada Highway just east of Gaol Road when she hit the ditch around 4:45this morning.

Police say shewasthrown from the car and pronounced dead on the scene. Police don't believe the girl was wearing a seatbelt.

Alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor in the crash and the driver was the only occupant in the car.

An RCMPforensic collision reconstructionist was called to the scene and is working on the investigation.
