Members of the Winnipeg police homicide unit are investigating what they are calling a suspicious death.

Police said Saturday that officers were dispatched shortly after 9 a.m. CT to the area of Main Street and Sutherland Avenue where a dead woman's body had been found.
No other information was released beyond police reporting that their homicide and identification units were on the case.
