RCMP are warning drivers to slow down as icy conditions led to multiple crashes in southern Manitoba Tuesday morning.

Around 7 a.m., a semi lost control near Bridge Road and Roblin Boulevard and ended up in the ditch.

RCMP said no one was injured in the crash, but officers urged the public to slow down, especially around bridges and overpasses as well as some spots on the Perimeter Highway.

Around the same time as the semi crash, a cyclist was hit at Archibald Street and Provencher Boulevard. The cyclist was taken to hospital in unstable condition.

Winnipeg police responded to several crashes Tuesday morning and said it's always a good idea for motorists to slow down, especially in snowy, icy conditions.

More snow is expected Tuesday afternoon.

Up to 20 centimetres is forecast for southeastern Manitoba, with about 10 cm forecast for Winnipeg.
