Police respond to theft, fight on Winnipeg Transit bus

Officers responded to a fight Thursday evening that broke out on a Winnipeg Transit bus over an alleged theft.

A fight over an alleged theft broke out on a Winnipeg Transit bus Thursday.

The group involved in the argument got off the bus near Jefferson Avenue and McGregor Street after 7 p.m., police said.

A man who might have been connected to the incident suffered a medical emergency and collapsed nearby, police said.He was taken to hospital and his condition is not known.

Police are now reviewing video from the bus as part of their investigation.

They had taped off an area near the intersection Thursday night; a backpack and water bottle could be seen behind the tape.
