Kevin Chief talks about attack on bridge

As a passionate lifelong North Ender, Winnipeg MLA Kevin Chief has sometimes fought against the negative perception of the community.

Kevin Chief, a Winnipeg-area MLA and provincial cabinet minister, says he was recently the victim of an attack by four people during a recent jog across a bridge.

As a passionate lifelong North Ender, Winnipeg MLA Kevin Chief has sometimes fought against the negative perception of the community.

But last week, the provincial minister of children and youth opportunities went through the type of ordeal that has contributed to that reputation.

He was thevictim of a vicious attack at the hands of four people as he jogged across the Slaw Rebchuk Bridge on Feb. 24.

However, Chief's reaction to what happened may surprise you. He spoke with CBC Information Radio host Marcy Markusa.
