Male with gun reportedly seen in Kenora, schools on lockdown

A number of Kenora, Ont. schools are on lockdown as Ontario police look for a person who was reported to be carrying a gun near one of them.

Anyone with information about the male is asked to call 911

A number ofKenora, Ont. schools are in lockdownas Ontario Provincial Police look for a person who was reported to be carrying a gun near one of them.

The call came in around noon on Friday, and officers learned a male who looked to be in his teens had been seen aroundBeaver Brae High School, which was immediately put in lockdown.

As a precaution, Pope John Paul II School, Ecole Ste. Marguerite Bourgeoys and St. Thomas Aquinas High School were put on lockdown, too.

The male is described as roughly five feet four inches tall, wearing a brown hoodie and camouflage backpack, and members of the canine unit are emergency response team are looking for him.
